Responsible gambling
Don't Bet the Ranch
Betting should be entertainment you can afford, not a way to make money or get out of a hole. If it has stopped being fun, that matters more than any game on the schedule.

Ground rules
- Set a budget before you start, and treat it as money already spent.
- Never chase losses. A loss is the cost of the entertainment, not a debt to recover.
- Never bet money you need for rent, bills or debts.
- Take breaks. The games will still be there.
- Don't bet when you're upset, stressed or drinking.
Signs betting may be a problem
- Betting more than you planned, or more often
- Chasing losses or feeling you need to get even
- Hiding your betting from people close to you
- Borrowing money or missing bills because of betting
- Feeling anxious, irritable or low when you're not betting
- Betting to escape problems or bad feelings
Tools that help
- Deposit, loss and time limits in your sportsbook account
- Cool-off periods and self-exclusion programs
- Reality checks that show how long you've been playing

Where Willie stands
Willie will call a line fair rather than force a pick, and he'd rather you skipped a bet you're unsure of too. No analysis on this site is worth betting money you can't afford to lose.
